These cookies came in a Cafe Coffee Day gift hamper that we received from a very dear friend. As soon as I opened the hamper, I was tempted to try the cookies. Chilli flavored cookies are something I had never tried earlier. Moreover, the packaging is so pretty and looks tempting.
Cafe Coffee Day used to be the Starbucks of India before Starbucks actually appeared. It still is a part of our lives and we all love it. Read on to see how these cookies fared for me.

The cookies come in a sturdy cardboard container with a red cover that looks more like a metal container. It looks so good, just like all Coffee Day Products. Upon opening the lid, I met with a foil wrapper. Open it and you will see pretty cookies sitting on top of a plastic box. The packaging is pretty handy and there is no risk of cookies going soggy due to weather.
I was really excited to try these cookies. I had imagined a sweet and spicy taste in my mouth already. But i was left a little disappointed. The taste is a little bland with only chilli overpowering all the flavors. It is not a blend of flavors like Aliva Biscuits. Although, I won’t complain as that is what the product claims. Chilli and Butter are supposed to dominate as the name suggests.
