Whenever I visit my mom, I come back with a bag full of goodies to eat. This time she gave me home made pinnis, dates and honey. What caught my attention was the honey. It’s a new brand (at least for me) and the honey comes with the goodness of tulsi.

About Little Bee Honey ‘n’ Tulsi
The first thing I noticed about it that the manufacturer has an Ayurvedic License. It comes in a plastic bottle which is at thick the bottom and it gets sleek as you go above. The bottle is transparent, so you can easily check out the quantity you are left with. Open the top cap and you will be surprised to see the user friendly nozzle. There is no worry of spillage and I don’t have to dig in my spoon. I can just tilt it and take as little or as much quantity I want. Interestingly, it is available in a couple of other flavors too.

My Experience with Little Bee Honey ‘n’ Tulsi

I like how it has a mild fragrance of tulsi mixed with honey, just as you would imagine looking at it’s name. As it has tulsi mixed in it, I knew it would taste different from my regular honey. It tastes good and leaves a hint of tulsi in your mouth. As much my husband loves it, I am not a big fan of its taste. It is not bad but just do not like the combination of honey with tulsi. I know it is good for health but still can’t help. It is just not made for me.

Benefits (as mentioned on Little Bee Honey ‘n’ Tulsi):

  • Enhances immune system
  • Good for bronchitis
  • Helps to control migraine pain

I usually sprinkle it on top of daliya (porridge) as a substitute for sugar. My husband eats his paranthas and idlis with it. You can also try it in your tea or shakes as a sugar substitute.  Honey  is majorly taken in winters. If you are having it in summers, try to limit the quantity. I know people who give honey to their kids during cold, cough, teething, fever and what not. It has multiple benefits.
