Hello everyone,
Quaker is such a well known brand. I remember myself being fed with Quaker oats during childhood. Though I didn’t know that the brand is Quaker and the name ‘oats’, I was familiar with the ‘uncle who wears a hat’ on the tin: D Back from the memories let me move to the review
straight.
I love pasta and I love quaker. So, i was really impressed with the pasta from Quaker and that too in a vermicelli form. I was waiting hard to try it out after getting tempted with the ‘2-4 minutes ‘on the pack.

  • Price: I think it is around 3 Dhs for a 250 grams pack.
  • Ingredients:- Durum wheat semolina and whole oat flour
  • Free from artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.
  • Allergens
  • Oats, wheat (cereal containing gluten)
Cooking Instructions for Quaker Pasta with Oats Flour Vermicelli
  1. 1 Litre water
  2. Add salt to boiling water
  3. Add the contents of the whole pack
  4. Drain water after 3-4 minutes.

My take on Quaker Pasta with Oats Flour Vermicelli
Isn’t it a great thing to have your favorite pasta, with the goodness of oats? This is the first time that we buy this particular product at home and so we were skeptical about the presence of oats and the resultant taste! My mom bought this from UAE, so I am not really sure it is available in India. I took up the first chance to cook with this product. Initially I was puzzled thinking what to prepare out of it and later I decided to make vermicelli upma out of it. I could sense no special
taste of oats in it when I tasted the upma and was extremely happy about it. Although I love oats I do not want it to have its taste in upma, especially because I really needed to compare it with the normal vermicelli/semiya. And the final result was exactly the same that I wanted.
Just like Quaker oats, this too cooks up so fast. You don’t have to wait so long when you are hungry, as this gets easily cooked. It won’t be sticky if you pick it out at the right time from the boiling water.
You can obviously use it as a replacement of your regular vermicelli. You can use it for making upma, soups, pasta and all sorts of things without a second thought. The addition of oats doesn’t affect the overall taste of the dish plus you have all the health benefits as well (It might be a con for some if you want the taste of oats in your dish. Now, I am looking forward to try out the other variants as well. Please do check this one out and you will like it for sure.
