Who has not heard about the benefits of olive oil? There are many benefits you know of and still many you might not know. So today I am reviewing Rafael Salgado Refined Olive Oil which I am trying for the first time and let us see how it fared.
Price: Dhs 10. So, its around Rs. 170 for 400 ml.
Ingredients: Refined pomace olive oil and extra virgin olive oil
My take on Rafael Salgado Refined Olive Oil
There are a number of italian dishes which call only for olive oil and nothing else. For me it is pizza which is my family’s favourite. I do not cook many italian dishes so i really use them only when my recipe for pizza or special bread varieties or bakes calls for it. That means i am not a complete olive oil user.
Personally, I am not much of the health consious type but yes I do feel I am obliged to (though not taking sufficient steps). The olive oil is a light oil and slightly greenish. It smells great and tastes heavenly. I am used to its smell only since recently.
I feel that the body of the tin is compact for any cupboard but the cap seriously is an issue for me. When you are pouring it the oil spreads everywhere on its own head.
It is said that Olive pomace oil is the olive oil that is extracted from olive pulp after the first press i.e, it is made from the residue left after producing virgin olive oil. It is the lowest grade of oil. So, with this product what you actually get is a mixture of both.
Pros of C Refined Olive Oil
- Comes in a compact tin package so that it doesn’t take much of your cupboard’s space.
Cons of Rafael Salgado Refined Olive Oil
- It is not 100% extra virgin olive oil.
- The cap spreads the content on the tin’s head, while you are using it.
